Gold from Above is a spiritual abstraction that evokes the essence of Yerushalayim Shel Maalá — the Heavenly Jerusalem. With layered oil textures and the subtle brilliance of imitation gold leaf, the piece invites the viewer to transcend the visible and enter a sacred space suspended between heaven and earth.

The composition is both architectural and ethereal, suggesting walls, domes, and ancient paths that shimmer beyond time. Rather than depicting a literal place, the artist conveys a presence — a luminous memory, a prayer in motion, a city that lives in the soul.

Rooted in the artist’s personal experience as an Orthodox Jewish woman who lived in Jerusalem for six years, Gold from Above reflects a deeply intimate and universal longing for holiness, elevation, and connection.
